If tonsillitis is mild, do gaurgles with a glass of warm water with a pinch of salt in it ,every 6 hours or so. Avoid smoking. Take pain relievers like Aspirin.
If the infection is acute with fever & severe pain on swallowing, see ur doc who would prescribe antibiotics. Continue with gaurgles & Aspirin.
If it keeps on coming every so often, u may need surgical removal of tonsils as this condition may result in heart problem later in life.
