How can you find pharmaceuticals approved in other countries but not yet in the !

Question:

How can you find pharmaceuticals approved in other countries but not yet in the US/FDA?

Is there a web site that tells of promising drugs that have approved in other countries but perhaps not yet approved in the US by the FDA?

Extending this question. I am asking about drug approvals - not how to you obtain pharmaceuticals from other countries. I am wondering how you can find what other countries have approved that the FDA is still dickering with.

Answers:

Depends on the country you are interested in. IN most of the western countries, the regulatory authorities will have a list that is generated monthly of newly approved medicines on their websites e.g. www.tga.gov.au for Australia, www.emea.org for Europe. There is no definitive listing that I am aware of that is open to the public that lists where a drug is and is not registered. This information is kept by each pharmaceutical company. If this were made public, the market share for some companies can be quickly eroded in certain regions. Hence they keep the information to themselves. Hope this helps.
