I see red, blinking lights in my head, do you think I'm ready for take off?

If your serious lol, you could be showing signs of retinal detachment. Thats nothing to play around with as you can go blind permanantly & very quickly.

Also some people experience odd visual effects with migraines (some see lights, many in my family see "cartwheels")

My mom once had a clot form that passed thru her optic nerve (or somewhere in that location) and caused similar visual effects as to what your having, although she went blind for a few minutes afterwards but was fine later on.
