First, congratulations on continuing your education. There are dietary considerations in controlling ADD - a study from Cornell University found that by eliminating the following foods, ADD symptoms can decrease: dairy products, wheat, corn, yeast, soy, citrus, eggs, chocolate, peanuts, and artificial colors and preservatives.
Another consideration is your Omega 3 intake. Studies have shown that children with ADD have lower levels of Omega 3 in their system than Non-ADD children. Here is a link for food sources of Omega 3: http://www.supplementquality.com/news/om...
Attached is an article from a leading authority in holistic medicine, who reports that to date, there is not a specific herb that has been shown to replace the widely prescribed Ritalin, which is commonly used to treat ADD. He does mention that studies have shown a low-allergen diet has been shown to help ADD sufferers, with supplements that include calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamins. http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/qaa115393...
