Question: Is there an herb or something that I can take for my sleeping problems?
I was recently switched to a drug that has a very major side effect of making me sleep too long and I consistently wake up tired. On weekends, I sleep from 9 pm to noon, and still wake up tired. I am used to going to bed at midnight and waking up around 0530 AM, with no problems at all. But these drugs seem to just drag me down. Is there something that I can take that will help with these problems? Would Valerian root help?

you might want to look into a bio alarm clock or the like. if you wake up during a certain part of your sleep cycle you will wake up tired, but if you wake up during the right phase of sleep (im not sure which it is-rem or not) you will awake refreshed. i use an iphone app that measures how much and when i move in my sleep because this indicates where you are in your sleep cycle. (you dont toss and turn while you are dreaming because your body is in sleep paralysis) so the gentle alarm wakes me up during the right phase of sleep and i am not tired. (as opposed to a certain time, which may or not be the right phase)



There is a vitamin called Melatonin that you can buy at most grocery stores and basically all health-food stores. Basically it's used to treat jet-lag. You take it and you're asleep 20-30 minutes later but it only makes you have a good 7-8 hours of sleep and no more. It's a naturally occurring chemical in the body so the vitamin acts as a precursor to it. If you have really bad insomnia I'd say take two a night about 20 minutes before bed time. Oh, and no side effects.



May be you should change your medicine. Why not use natural remedies to correct your problem. Drugs you took will create side effect one after the other and you will end up trying to correct each side effect which is difficult to do because the drug you took is powerful.

Keep regular sleeping hours! Exercise! Try increasing you minerals especially before you go to sleep. Take a multi mineral supplement just before you go to sleep!!

The reason you were tired that one time is cause you slept wayy to long. And indica weed might help haha



Try mandrake tea, it tastes awful but if u mix it with milk nd sugar u can choke it down
