Taking a plant extract for something the label does not specify?!
Question:
Taking a plant extract for something the label does not specify?
Since an extract is from a plant and is not artificially produced, will taking that extract in pill form, used for other types of sicknesses or reasons, cause harm to the body? For example, I was told by a friend that taking Saw Palmetto extract and Flax seed oil will reduce acne. Thing is, Saw palmetto extract is used for prostate health, but my friend debated that when saw palmetto balances dihydrotestosterone in the prostate, it benefits overall health, and in my case, acne. He swears by it, and if you would like to see his article, it is in my previous Questions Asked. So could he be right?
Answers:
If you take a pill to get rid of headaches but it gets rid of acne while doing it then there is no problem taking it. You also might want to look into drugs with recreational use. its pretty much what you just talked about only better
