Question:

Hi! How can one improve his/her digestive system?

If one's digestive system has become weak due to some reasons and is making adverse effect on one's health then what measures should be followed to increase the efficiency of or improve the digestive system ?

Answers:

In order for one to improve his/her digestive system the LAWS OF THAT SYSTEM MUST BE STUDIED AND OBEYED!

Are you ready to know and apply those laws in a rational way to your life? Here are those laws:

1. Eat only foods that are "natural" for the body--wholesome foods (grains, legumes, vegetables, nuts, fruits, etc).

2. Eat a 65:35 ratio of raw foods to cooked ones, approximately.

3. Always eat your raw foods first, followed, minutes later, by the cooked ones.

4. Chew your food thoroughly (about 30-40 chewing per bite).

5. Have a regular schedule for meals.

6. Let your digestive organs rest between two meals, for about 5 or 6 hours. Don't snack, since it directly violates one of the most important enzymatic laws of the digestion process.

7. Drink only water between meals, and nothing else.

8. Don't drink water with meals: drink it one hour previous to, or two hours after, and never ever cold, but at room temperature.

9. Don't cook with oils: it's not in the nature of oils to be exposed to heat. After 50-60 celsium degrees, any oil will be adulterated and converted into something it is not. And it will eventually destroy your health. Add oils to your foods right after they're done, an preferably once they're on your plate.

10. Unless you're a builder or handyman, don't eat dinner at all. After 4 pm the body interprets food as poisons and nothing else.

11. Drink plenty of water during the day: about half your weight in ounces.

12. Eat frugally, but enough to satisfy your actual nutritional needs.

13. Remember, food is not a social commodity but a real indispensable item for health and nourishment.

These are hygienic laws which, if you abide by them, health will not deny itself to you. Then it would make sense to use any extra measure to help the digestive tract rehabilitate itself.

Herbs that could help you immensely for stomach ailments:

Red Clover
Chamomile
Peppermint
Licorice Root
Ginger

Take care and good luck! :)
