Is this medicine safe for a child???
My niece was prescibed Tussionex Pennkinetic Susp.The dosage is 1/2 teaspoon every 12 hours.But my sister is not sure if it is safe to give being that my niece is only 6. I need to know if its safe. Thanks!

The active ingredients of Tussionex Pennkinetic Suspension are Hydrocodone with Chlorpheniramine. And it is stronlgy recommended to seek medical advice and talking to her pediatrician to make sure it will not cause any undesirable side effects that would outweight the benefits.
However, all medications--pharmaceutical drugs--may pose health risks at variable degrees to patients. And Tussionex is not the exception.
