Anyone eat raw garlic bulbs and feel they have benefit from that?!

Question:

Anyone eat raw garlic bulbs and feel they have benefit from that?

I read in "The Food Pharmacy" about a doctor who ate a couple of raw garlic bulbs evety day since 1973 and hasn't suffered a cold since. This book I have was written in 1988. Anyone who does: just wndering what are your reasons for doing so. Or perhaps you just incorporate garlic into your diet in other ways.

Answers:

So far, scientific research and studies show that garlic helps thining the blood, lowering blood pressure, and has powerful antibiotic effects when dealing with some specific strains of bacterias. They attirbute most, but not all, of its properties to garlicin, and sulphur compounds present in garlic.

And it is widely believed in Europe, though not totally confirmed, that used with Ginger it helps protect the stomach's lining.

I recommend garlic for most of my patients with artherosclerosis and high blood pressure with good results most of the times.

God luck! :)
