Because it is marketed as a supplement, it doesn't need to prove that it actually works.
The research cited is almost all about collagen and *rheumatoid* arthritis, which is a completely separate disease than osteoarthritis, which is what most people think of as "arthritis".
I'd take a look at the active ingredients, see how much the stuff costs, and research similar products. You may be better off with something like Motrin or Aleve, which are pretty cheap.
