I'm considering doing the Neti pot! Any ideas or tips words of advise??

I LOVE my neti pot!!!
It has absolutely saved me from nasal allergies. I had sinus surgery 2x to remove reoccurring polyps that had been caused by allergies (Dr said both times that it would not be a permanent solution, since the irritation causing the polyps would continue)... since using the neti pot (for 7 years now) the polyps have not come back, and I can breath better than ever! It also works great to unplug a stuffy nose when you have a cold and can't blow it all out.
I use mine every morning as part of my hygiene routine, just like brushing my teeth...
Best advice is use sterile SALINE solution (you can get this for really cheap in the contact-lens aisle at the store)... plain water burns like hell-fire, and if you mix your own salt-water and get the mix too salty it burns like hell-fire too!
Also, warm the saline up to body temp, but not too hot!
Easiest to use in the shower, so that if you snarf neti-water everywhere it won't make a mess.
It is easy to use once you do it a couple times... seems weird at first, but it is easy to breath while doing it once you get the hang.
Neti pot is the best! You will love it, and never regret it.
