Do those internal cleansing products work?

I have heard of several products that claim to cleanse your intestines, etc. Do these work? If so, what is the best kind? What are some of the risks/ Benefits?

so far, to my knowledge clinical evidence suggests "hell no" though a lot of people claim they do. they will give you crazy diarreaha though
