Parents think I smoke cigarettes ?!

if your mom is upset from cigarettes, weed will prob be worse. When I was in high school, my parents found out both (not at the same time) and her reaction to weed was much worse. I'm not condoning lying to your mom, I'm just saying from her standpoint weed will probably be worse solely because of the legality. I mean if it is something that is weighing heavily on you, then yeah I would sit down with her and calmly tell her it was weed not ciggs. Just be prepared for her to get upset--which in all honesty is perfectly understandable--she is just concerned for your well being. But try to explain that you came to her as an adult and you would like to be treated like one. Whatever happens don't get mad and start yelling, that will make it worse. Tell her, yes it is illegal, but you are doing it safely (ie not driving, safe location, not doing stupid stuff like smoking in a park, etc) and are prepared to accept the consequences if you are caught with it. Just say it was weed. And educate her on some facts about it, chances are if she knew the pros and cons about weed, she wouldn't be as mad as if you were smoking cigarettes.

When that happened to me, I just told them I was smoking salvia divinorium to try it.. that was better than them thinking i was smoking cigs

It's really good if you tell her the truth.
