Is kielation (spelling ?) therapy something you or someone you know used, what's your opinion of it's effects.

Chelation therapy is useful for certain conditions; off hand I can think of heart disease and heavy metal poisoning. I know many people who have been treated by a competent doctor and seen many benefits. I have also seen a lot of quacks prescribing it inappropriately .

If I ever had heavy metal poisoning I would use this therapy. It did a great deal for my mother who had mercury poisoning. I have seen anecdotal evidence for it's use in heart disease.

I am not sure if I would use it for other purposes; it would depend how desperate, what ground I had for believing it to be effective and what other choices I had.
