Massage Cream vs. Massage Lotion?

As massage therpists, do you prefer massage cream or massage lotion? Or do you use both? If so, for what situations.

Thanks for your responses everyone. I think I have my answer. At this point, I'm still a student and they don't allow us to use oils in our student massage clinic because of the tendency to stain.

Still, I think I'm going to order a bottle of the Grip that Dynamo suggested and smuggle it in!

Since it's summer, I might also try a gel.

I used both until I found a product that was a blend between the two.

What is most important to me is that the product is natural and doesn't clog the skin like coconut oil or have nasty lotion ingredients in it.

I find oils give the best performance but creams absorb into skin. That is why i chose the product I chose :)
