My friend suffers from crohn's disease, im wondering if there's any alternative remedies to help it?
the doctor's can't do much but treat the symptoms so I am curious if there is any sort of natural remedy that will actually help the problem.
crohn's disease is is a chronic, episodic, inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract characterized by transmural inflammation (affecting the entire wall of the involved bowel) and skip lesions (areas of inflammation with areas of normal lining in between).

hi, i am a fellow crohn's sufferer for over 20 yrs. First, your friend needs to be seen by a GI who can evaluate him & get him on the appropriate treatments. There are newer meds out there that will put the crohns in remission faster compared to what I had in the 1980s. Steroids are a thing of the past due to their unsightly side effects.
There hasn't been alot of research on the lines of natural remedies seeing as there hasn't been any scientific research except "testimonials" which will claim to "cure" IBD when in reality it will only drain your pocketbook. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
