Has anyone ever done a colon cleanse? What were the results? Do you recommend it? And... if so, which one works best?

Colon cleanses are nonsense...there are no "toxic wastes" that build up in your colon, nor any "deposits" of any kind that accumulate to narrow the lumen of you intestines that you've heard these snake oil gurus tell you about on infomercials! And the rare,rare,rare individual who actually contracts intestinal parasites can not be cured with colon cleanses, only anti parasitic medication. Ask these quacks to tell you exactly what these toxic wastes are or show you photographs of their claims. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies (as an Anesthesiologist) on the screen where the images are displayed.Multiple photographs of every one of the procedures are included in each patient's chart as well as an official pathology report of each specimen, often 10-20. Of all the thousands of such procedures performed every day in hospitals and clinics you would think that these charlatans who sell colon cleansing products would be able to provide some scientific proof of their claims and not just vague, untrue, unsubstantiated anecdotes.
