Question: HELP! Please! Home remedies for preventing of getting sick?
Hi! I spent the night at my friends house and after i left her sister threw up like 3 times. I dont wanna get sick so are there any ways i can not get sick? Like any home remedies? PLEASE HELP!

Well fiest of all make sure that you stay clean and wash your hand/germ-x often.
a very easy and effective home remedie is anything with vitamin c (it is known to significantly boost the immune system) so oranges, guavas, papyas, strawberries, kiwis, cantulope and grapefruit. these are the top seven fruits with vitamin c. also try the nature made brand of vitamin c pills. hope this was of help!!

EDIT: @cassy, is it like cool to give bad advice? You can't 'boost' your immune system (it's a meaningless marketing term), and extra vitamin C will have little or no effect. You don't even know the reason why her friend's sister threw up. It may be like mild food poisoning and not contagious.

EDIT: OK Nikki, but there is still nothing you can do, except hope you didn't pick it up. Of course there are steps you can take to generally avoid catching the flu - wash your hands frequently, avoid crowds and sick people, eat a healthy balanced diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise, don't smoke or do drugs etc, and get your flu vaccine.

'Medicines' that claim to ward off colds and flus typically don't work; neither does vitamin C, Echinacea, zinc, etc, etc, etc.

There is No home remedy for preventing getting sick first of all! To prevent your body from becoming imbalance and getting you need to; eat a well balance dielt, drink plenty of water, and get a good night sleep regularly. I think all those thing mention would aid in preventing you from becoming ill.
