Organic Health Oils?!

Question:

Organic Health Oils?

Which is the the overall best and what are the differences between Flaxseed Oil, Codliver Oil, and Fishoil.

Answers:

Hi Princess S, yes this three oils is a source of omega-3 , but they have different sources of origins.

Flaxseed oil or linseed oil. It is one of the oldest commercial oils and solvent-processed flax seed oil. Flaxseed oil is nature's richest terrestrial source of omega-3 (around 55 - 60%) fatty acids-especially the parent compound of all such fatty acids, alpha-linolenic acid.

Cod liver oil is derived from cod livers. It is a nutritional supplement, in the past commonly given to children. Cod liver oil is one of the most effective providers of omega-3 fatty acids, and an excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin D. It is widely taken to ease the pain and joint stiffness associated with arthritis but has also been clinically proven to have a positive effect on heart, bone and brain health, as well as helping to nourish skin, hair and nails.

Fish oil is oil derived from the tissues of oily fish.
Fish oil is recommended for a healthy diet because it contains the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), precursors to eicosanoids that reduce inflammation throughout the body

The main difference between codliver and fish oils is the fact that codliver oil is very high in vitamin D. For humans, the bodies requirements of vitamin D are produced during exposure to natural sunlight and often there is no requirement for additional supplementation.
