In energy medicine, hot spots are where energy is collected, (ie too much energy) possibly because it is blocked from flowing further. Cold spots are where there is a lack of energy.
Most energy medicine is about gettting the energy to flow properly. All parts of the being should be about the same temperature. Energy medicine aims to get the flow going from the hot spots to the cold spots.
For instance, if your head is hot, but your chest is cold, it is possible that there is a blockage in your throat chakra, and there is therefore too much energy in your head and it can't flow down to your chest. A blocked throat chakra could be because you are not able to speak up for youself.
