Hehe...was not trying to save money...
I prefer an herbal solution as I have had ear infections for some time...and I know that overdoing it on the antibiotics can make the infections immune to the antibiotics. Actually, most ear infections go away on their own without antibiotics, they are typically overprescribed. Thus the problem.

I too, have had hearing loss from ear infections...or rather, from having surgery to put tubes in my ears to solve the problem. Thus I'm thinking that going to a doctor isn't necessarily always the best way...
Answers:
Go see a doctor. Home treatment can make you go deaf. Not worth it to save a few pennies.
