for dogs and humans.

Answers:

You may not get many answers for this in alternative medicine category.

I looked at Wickipedia and they said 0.25 to 1.0mg for a dog. Didn't say for humans. I would assume the dosage is based on weight and since most dogs don't weigh over 75 pounds, human dose (based on 150 lbs) would be about 2mg.

As an alternative, you might want to use Bach's Rescue Remedy. It is safe for animals and humans and you really don't have to be exact about the dose. Our store has one customer who gives a pretty large dose to her skittish horses to get them to load into a trailer. A few drops (according to the label) works well on most people. Dr. Foster & Smith sells it for calming dogs & cats for travel. Available online or in all health food stores.
