Why mangosteen juice?!
Question:
Why mangosteen juice?
Answers:
Mangosteen is purported to be a newly discovered "superfruit", meaning it's not only tasty but rich in nutrients and, more importantly, antioxidants. It also has supposed disease-fighting capabilities.
A lot of other food items also have these characteristics (blueberries, cranberries) but aren't as marketed. I'm going to guess because this is because of a novelty-type of effect: the US won't import it easily out of fears for the Asian fruit fly often accompanying it that would endanger US crops, therefore it's not readily available here and much more in demand.
