Chelation Therapy?!?!?
Ok a couple of months ago my pap-paw found out he had cancer and my dad is a diabetic, so when they heard of this Chelation Therapy they thought oh wow what a deal. It is suppose to help with almost any kind of condition known to man, they looked up all kinds of information on it that the dictore had told them about. Well they have been doing the therapy for almost a month and I have heard there are some serious side effects and this was coming from a couple of nurses that work in the research lab so.... How would I go about finding some serious facts about this stuff and then how would I go about talking to them about it? I just dont want them to go through all this and pay so much money for something that may or may not help or from what I have heard could possibly even harm them even more than what they were when they started!!! Help please!!!

It doesn't work. It's just snake oil. Google it. I have a friend that swears by it. The sad truth is she really needs to drop 100# and she'd probably feel a lot better.
Basically it's supposed to remove heavy metals and arsenic from your blood. Most of us don't have that much other than what's necessary for normal function. Anytime you're removing blood and treating it then putting it back into the body, you are taking real risks.
