Does exposure therapy really work?!

Question:

Does exposure therapy really work?

On valentine's day, I got super drunk. The next day, I woke up with one of the worst hangovers that I have ever had, now I rarely drink beer. Each sip tastes like the vomit i threw up the day after. Would it work with fast food as well? Eat so much of Jack's Big Texas Cheeseburgers until I puke and always remember that taste?

Answers:

Hi jflores, Exposure therapy is based on the principle that we get used to things that are just annoying and not truly dangerous. This is called habituation, and it occurs naturally in over 95% of people. But you have quite opposite a situation. Your body rejects toxic material. In other words you have allergic reaction for alcohol drinks and other products which were used together with him and have after-hangovers syndrome.
