How can I treat ANT bites at home to relieve the reaction?!
Question:
How can I treat ANT bites at home to relieve the reaction?
I'm looking f/ a compress, ungent, or natural home remedy!
Answers:
* Gently wash the area with soap and water to rid the skin of any venom on it. Leave the blisters intact.
* Disinfect the area with alcohol.
* Place a cool compress or ice to relieve the swelling and pain.
* Commercial products such as StingEze, calamine lotion, etc., will numb the area for a while. Or for an organic fire ant bite treatment, a thick paste of baking soda and water, or bleach and water, can reduce the pain and itching.
* Spraying a topical (cortisone) or taking a systemic (oral) antihistamine (like Benadryl) will help prevent allergic reactions and swelling.
* Avoid scratching the pustule, which can lead to infection.
*** Persons allergic to insect stings should seek medical attention immediately to avoid and serious injury.
Alternative medicine a.k.a homeopathy
Take Arnica 200, Ledum 200 and Arsenicum Album 200; 2-3 drops of each in 1/4th glass of water; preferably 30-45 minutes before or one hour after eating.
The above remedies work wonders for any sort of wasp, honey bee; scorpion as well as other poisonous insects bites ..
Trying is believing :)
