So I went to a counselor who practices holistic healing and energy work...is she!

Question:

So I went to a counselor who practices holistic healing and energy work...is she a crackpot? whats the deal?

She prayed to father, son, mother God, Jesus and Arch Angel Michael. She laid hands and supposedly changed my shakrahs by not touching me but creating energy flows then basically laid herself onto my thighs and and mumbled a bunch of stuff.... I am a good sport...what the heck right? But what is the deal with my energy and shakrahs. is there really a way to improve energy flow and improve my health? is this it? or have you had any experiences with these practitioners....shes got certficates galore...but it seemed a little hokey to me.

Answers:

Dear friend,

You have no idea of what you are dealing with... About 20 years ago, when I developed a huge interest in alternative medicine, I went looking for info and help all over the places. Only to find these type of mystic and bogus practices. They are very old, but with new names. The Celtic culture, back in 1,200 A.C. resurrected a form of neo-pagan enphasis in "nature cure" where spirits, magnetic forces, cosmic energies, and self's hidden powers were invoked to tame disease. Of course that years later more interest for science was added to it, and herbs, water cure or hydrotherapy, as well as hygienic lifestyle management, gave it more grandeur in people's eyes. Though there is nothing wrong with natural diet, excercise, lifestyle management, and hygienic principles, many of the so-called natural healing practices are ingrained in a kind of phylosophy that has little scientific background, and is saturated with ancient spiritualism of the worse sort.

I have seen people lose their mental balance after following this type of anti-Christian practices.

You don't have to agree with my opinion, but I beg you to do a more thorough research before you discard my position. You'll be amazed with what you may find so far.

If you want a sound advice: look for real professionals in the field of Holistic Nutrition, or Natural Health, or Medical Herbology, Chriopractors, Natural Hygiene, but stay away form those who practise any thing related to "energy". Why? How can they use energy to cure when they can't even decide how energy evolves within the human machinery? Because there is not scientific studies to back up such practices, they are now retorting to the use of ambiguous concepts related to quantum physic, something that can barely be applied to astronomy, and never to regular biology.

Beware!
