How long does Ipecac take to work?

i swallowed something earlier that i shouldnt have to i took a tablespoon of ipecac that my mother had in the bathroom to puke it back up but now im starting to think maybe i shouldnt have because i took a half hour ago and its not workin yet but i feel like **** all shaky and stuff should i make myself throw up?

I ended up jsut sticking my fingers doewn my throat... it worked really weell everything came up all at once


one question- how can people purposely stick their fingers down their throat ALL the time like bulimas do? cuz that was a worse feeling then the puking was, having the feeling of fingers in my throat and it hurt too
