Pre Menstrual Syndrome?

Can anyone give me some suggestions of 'natural' or homeopathic ways of dealing with this? I have suffered over many years with this syndrome and when it happens I feel like I have stepped outside myself and am watching some screaming banshee!!!
The most success I had was when I was put on citalopram (an anti depressant) which had been shown to have good results in treating PMS. It did work but I simply did not want to be on anti depressants for years!

Any suggestions?

A combination of nutrients, taken for part or all of the menstrual cycle, can relieve PMS symptoms. If you use conventional medications for this problem, check with your doctor before adding these supplements.

Do a liver cleanse, first.Just a mild one. You get much better as the internal balance starts restoring.

Exercise several times a week to lift your spirits and help your body release fluids that cause bloating and breast tenderness.

Essential oils of "geranium" and "rosemary" in the bath may help symptoms of water retention and irritability.

Light abdominal massage with lavender oil may be very helpful.

Eat oats for their calming effect.

Chasteberry : 225 mg a day. Also called vitex. Choose a product standardized to contain 0.5% agnuside. Take when not menstruating.

Vitamin B6 : 50 mg twice a day. 200 mg daily over long term can cause nerve damage.

Flaxseed : 1 tablesppon oil /ground seed/day. With your morning meal.

Magnesium: 250 mg twice a day. Take with food.

Vitamin E: 400 IU/day.

Zinc: 30mg/day.

St. John's Wort: 300 mg 3 times a day.Standardized to contain 0.3% hypericin.
