I don't want to take pills of any kind. I want things like tea that other people have mentioned.
Answers:
Chamomile tea, taking a footbath before bed, NO TV/computer/radio (except maybe just relaxing music) for at least an hour before bedtime.
It also helps to exercise vigorously during the day and to stay away from caffeine after 3 PM.
When I get a shiatsu client with intractable insomnia, I do cupping on her. (Glass cups are placed along the spine creating suction.) It guarantees a good night's sleep. Works every time.
