Is Passion Flower Safe To Consume?
Hello, I've read that Kava Kava can sometimes be dangerous to the liver, so is it in any way dangerous to consume Passion Flower capsules? Thank You!

It has been approved for use in Germany, but it has not been evaluated by the FDA in the US, although it is considered to be safe. It doesn't seem to affect the liver.
Theoretically, passion flower may interact with other herbs or drugs.
Side effects of rapid heart rate and rhythm, nausea, and vomiting have been reported. Side effects may also include drowsiness/sedation and mental slowing. Patients should use caution if driving or operating heavy machinery.
Passion flower may theoretically increase the risk of bleeding and alter blood tests that measure blood clotting (international normalized ratio or "INR").
Because passion flower is an unregulated natural product there is no guarantee of strength or purity. Despite all that, I think it's pretty safe.
