Question: Why is it that doctor's of foreign differences or race always?

Think that, you are not entitled types of medication that is helpful to you? (And no, this is not a set up question to where you say, because of drug abuse,etc) I mean, you have this one person to where they have spinal and lumbar stenosis and a herniated disc, surgery is in option here and the doctor of a different race determines that you are not in pain bad enough or does not believe in prescribing pain medication to you, given the severity of pain that you are in, but when the doctor is white, you pretty much get what you are entitled to, given the pain that you are in. :| I've been to 3 different doctors and one was Black, (Nothing but negligence from him) A doctor that was from Iraq. (Also negligence) But, a white doctor, He/she treats you like you should be treated. :| To me, I think racism exists within those who set themselves up to get sued easily.
(It's also why I'm pretty well-off too.))

This isn't a flame or any bad type of question, this is to hear opinions from others on how they are treated differently by a physician of a different origin/race.

I've had back problems as well as several other sources of pain and all doctors I've seen have ignored treating my pain. The whole clinic will not prescribe pain meds and the docs are Indian, Hispanic, white, just about any race you can think of.

Doctors are afraid of getting sued for over prescribing pain meds right now because they are abused so much. Three doctors isn't enough to decide what their motivation is.

I'm fighting to get my pain meds back right now too. I can't make a living without some relief but many don't seem to understand that. Pain can be devastating and change your life for the worse. I have MRI records that show lower back damage, neck damage, arthritis in my feet and the list goes on.

This is not to say you aren't right, there may be doctors who are afraid they may be sued based on race but you would have to know thousands of doctors, not just three.

I noticed a few responses that don't seem to understand your question and gave really hateful answers. That's Yahoo for ya! People will post things they would never say to anyone's face because they feel anonymous here.

Sounds to me as though you're just after opiates and two of the doctors have you sussed while the other is a push-over for a sob story.

You don't need them, it's a question of mind over matter and looking for other solutions. Try a TENS unit for example

You hear and accept what you want to hear.

Because you think because you're well off that you're entitled to certain things, and it's easier to convince other well-off white people of that specious claim.

If so many docs are denying you, you need to look inward for the problem, not outward. It's YOU, not them.

Get proper pain therapy or heroin or deal with it.
