Why do natural remedies infuriate my doctor?
My doctor gets very pestered when i ask about natural remedies...why is this?
Answers:
First, he probably doesn't know the answer. Most doctors are woefully ignorant of alternative therapies.
Also, you have to understand that they actually put themselves at risk if they even appear to recommend a therapy. The American Medical Association has sanctioned...even pulled the licenses of doctors in the past.
Finally, there is a concerted effort going on, especially from the pharmaceutical industry and the FDA, to give alternative therapies a bad name. They do everything they can to stigmatize the whole industry.
I'd bet your doctor's response is a result of some combination of the above reasons.
