What is the best thing to use to get rid of migranes?

Nothing seemed to help mine much after they were full blown. I didn't find much help with any of the meds they gave me other than the one time I got a shot of narcotics. They were getting ready to put me on daily preventitive meds but I could tell stressful days set me off so I would take 2 extra strength tylenol or something OTC w/ breakfast to hope it would prevent and I have been preventing most of them since. When I start seeing spots if I immediately take something OTC it helped but if it got full blown it didn't.
