Antibiotics and echinacea?

I had a terrible eye infection that I am taking anitbiotics for, but now I'm getting a really sore throat, too! Is it safe for me to take echinacea to help with my sore throat, while I'm on antibiotics?

You should always consult with your doctor before mixing medicines, even homeopathic ones.
