Medical Marijuana for back pain?

I know that some people argue that marijuana is good for pain relief for things such as cancer and glaucoma. But does anybody know if it helps with back pain. I'm taking pain killers for my back, but I have such bad side effects, like stomach aches and headaches. I haven't asked my doctor yet what she thinks. I don't want to waste my time or make a bad impression if it won't even help. Has anyone used it for back pain (either legally or illegally)? If so, how often and how much? Did it help? I'm asking seriously, so I'd appreciate serious answers. Thanks.

I too have bad reactions to "those" pain killers.
Marijuana does help. If smoking it only smoke a little and never trust other people when using it for your pain!! You may do better with the pills, oils, or other ways of taking it.
Get legal!! Never trust those people on the street, they will sell you anything! The MMJ people wont do you wrong! There are many strains out there some are better for pain, some are better for sleep and other problems....

Most doctors can not or will not prescribe this for you. There is a lot of BS associated with this, and most doctors do not want the word out they support alternative medicine.
At one time chiropractors were considered alternative medicine and look how common they are now....
