Natural way to treat severe gas/ stomach pains w/o antacids?!
Question:
Natural way to treat severe gas/ stomach pains w/o antacids?
I'm on Avelox for a sinus/ ear infection and while the antibiotic is making that go away it is giving me intense gas and very bad stomach pains. Is there a way to ease these symptoms or atleast stop the gas WITHOUT antacids? The directions on the Avelox say that I should not take antacids while on it because it will interact and make the antiobiotic absorb improperly. Are there any home remedies to get rid of gas? Please help!

Hi "embryonicreject", use the baking soda is bad idea - the baking soda - will increase stomach gas.
Doctors usually recommend a plan to help move gas through the intestines more readily, combined with preventive measures, such as eliminating certain foods from your diet and avoiding chewing gum.
You may use a tablets of activated charcoal, it may provide relief from gas in the colon. Studies have shown that when taken before and after a meal, lower-intestinal gas is reduced.
