88 Years old with diarrhoea for 4 weeks!?!

Question:

88 Years old with diarrhoea for 4 weeks!?

My father is lying in bed, having lost 40% of body weight due to diarrhoea. Was hospitalised for 3 weeks at a private and public hospital but still no cure.
Unable to take solid food, takes minimal liquids and this is worsening his heart condition.
The diarrhoea is killing him. Anyone with a suggestion that can stop the diarrhoea and induce him to take solid food is an angel.
Thank you.
