Answers:

Simply put, the nervous system controls all the systems and functions of the body. The Master center consists of the Brain and spinal cord. From these two organs, everything that happens in your body from heartbeat to movement is controlled. You have two separate major nervous systems. The Autonomic and Peripheral nervous systems. Autonomic controls the organs, glands. In the Autonomic there are two divisions, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The peripheral nervious system controls muscle, tissues, as well as senses. These all work together to keep you alive. Additionally there are 12 nerves that originate directly from the brain that are also vital to various functions like breathing, eyesight, smell, taste, facial muscle movement etc.
