Has anyone tried alkaline water for relieving arthritis pain?!

Has anyone tried alkaline water for relieving arthritis pain?

I don't have arthritis but I do have a big flat magnet that I bought at my natural foods store to put under my 2 gallon water container to alkanize my water, just because I have read how our diet tends to make us overly acidic. I have also read about acidic waste that accumulates in our bodies and that has been linked to results like arthritis. I'd say it's worth a shot. I know there are more powerful ways to alkanize your water too and I think it would have to be done in conjunction with choosing more alkanizing foods also. Whether it helps the pain or not, you'll be doing your body a favor!
