Bananas are rich in tryptophan. Tryptophan is the amino acid that is a precursor of the sleep-inducing neuro-transmitters serotonin and melatonin. Turkey is also rich in tryptophan, so can explain why turkey meat might also help. But meat is a little heavy on the stomach and might not help promote restful sleep.
Camomile tea is a known relaxant for sleep. Milk is rich in the mineral calcium, which can help promote sleep. A bath before bed time opften does the trick.

Other herbals you could consider taking:

Avena sativa
Rooibos tea (as alternative to camomile tea)
lavendar essential oil on the sides of your pillow or in bath water.
