I was wondering what the main differences are there between Barbituates and Benzodiazepines?
I already know they are depressents whose purposes are for relaxation. Since both are used for relaxation, what diffrences are there are 2 categories for relaxant drugs?

benzodiazepines, are more for relaxation, not for depression. barbiturates are not in common use now, except to treat epilepsy in some countries, they are more toxic and longer acting, hence can be dangerous.
