Has anyone tried the new pill (Chantix) to quit smoking? I'm having horrible side effects, is anyone else?
If so, what are they?
Answers:
I took Chantix for 3 months (starting last October). The only side effects that I had were weird dreams (and boy were they weird), upset stomach, and trouble sleeping.
The upset stomach started from day 1 and by day 6 or so had gotten bad enough that I thought I was going to throw up every time I had a cigarette. Once I stopped smoking on day 8 the upset stomach only kicked in for about 30 minutes after I took the medicine. After awhile it disappeared completely.
The trouble sleeping also went away after a week or so on the highest dosage. After that I was actually sleeping better than I normally would. I have to say I miss that side effect!
Good luck using Chantix. I've been smoke free since October!
