There is a large number of drugs that, legally exist in a sort of gray zone. They're not illegal per say, but because they are analogues of drugs that have been criminalized, if you are found with them you can be prosecuted under the "Analogue Law." However, you can obtain them through the internet and some of them are very strong psychedelics. They were synthesized by Alexander Shulgin, who wrote the books Pihkal and Tihkal about his experiences with them.
Also, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, the active ingredient in most cough syrups, is a legally available OTC drug. It is a very powerful dissociative at the right dose. If you want to do it, I recommend you make sure what you're buying ONLY has DXM as it's active ingredient, as other drugs may be fatal.
There is also Salvia Divinorum, a legal plant, which when smoked gives you an experience much like DMT. Many people report having out-of-body experiences on this drug. It is extremely powerful, and most of the people I know who have done it only ever do it once.
If you're really desperate you can eat the Heavenly Blue strain of Morning Glory seeds. These contain LSA, a psychedelic related to LSD. Wash them thoroughly (as they are often treated w/ pesticides which will make you very sick), and grind them up before you eat them (a coffee grinder works great, but make sure to grind them in short bursts, as excessive heat will kill the drug inside). I believe Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds also contain LSA and can be purchased online.
Another serious dissociative drug you can do is Dramamine or Datura. Both of these pretty much have the same effect. You will start to hallucinate, see people who aren't there, smoke phantom cigarettes, etc. I know of people who have done these drugs and ended up in mental hospitals the next day. I do NOT recommend these drugs. However if you absolutely must do them DO NOT do them without a trip-sitter or you may find yourself in serious trouble when you come to.
