I just tried a Neti Pot and I had an allergy attack after has that happened to anyone? what kind of salt concentration did you use? Also, the water would only go in and out one nostril the other one it went in and was blocked by something (i dont have a diviated septum)

I can't imagine that you would have had an allergic reaction to salt. Is it possible that the salt concentration is too much? I do not use as much as the manufacturer recommends. It seems to cause irritation to me. Also, it takes some time and practice to be able to hold your head at the right angle to get the water to come out your lower nostril. If you haven't used the neti pot in the past and have had sinus problems for a long time you will likely have some really gross stuff stuck in there in the pockets of your sinuses. Stick with it and you will get rid of that crud.
