Do you know of any products that naturally contain female hormones
Answers:
Tell your friend to beware of taking non-prescribed products with hormones in them. The FDA screens all prescribed drugs to make sure that each pill/dose contains the same amount of active ingredient. In many supplements, the amount of hormone can vary widely. Also, there is no telling where the hormone came from (horses, swine, etc.) b/c the manufacturers do not have to provide that info.
I'm not advocating that your friend stay on precriptions for HRT (b/c it's unclear whether or not HRT is beneficial for women), but I wouldn't recommend taking a supplement with a hormone in it.
