Psyllium husk is a type of dietary fiber. It can lower cholesterol. It absorbes water, bulks up and helps the bowles eliminate painlessly & quickly. It would probably be a good idea to use it if you have hemhorids. I use it every day in the form of Metamucile. If taken correctly, it doesn't cause diharrea like some people think it does. Take twice daily and "see how it goes" :)
