Disposal of unused medications???
I have a bag of unused prescription meds (pills) that belonged to my husband. I tried returning them to the hospital pharmacy, where they were purchased, so they could dispose of them.
They wouldn't take them. Does anyone know of a place in Santa Clara Co., CA where I can get rid of them in the correct way?

for your health it is flushing them... but that damages our water supply.
burning them in a fireplace works, but in california chances are you dont have one
if the place you bought them from cannot tell you the best way to dispose of the or do it for you then they are a terrible facility, I would recommend calling, asking for a supervisor and asking the supervisor what their recommendations are.. they have a responsibilty to protect your health and the health of others and if they refuse to help you tell them that and tell them you are going to report them to the California Health Depaertment which liscences them
