Can mary jane (weed) kill you?

I have a friend that smokes weed. I was kind of worried. I have never heard of weed killing anyone, unless you allergic to it. Dose anyone know if it can kill you or injure you? Please no immature comments~ dont have time to read those ones. Thank you.

Marijuana has never killed anybody.Not one person has ever died by simply smoking it.
There used to be a commercial about what marijuana does to your brain ,that showed the brain activity slowed down.Truth is it actually caused brain to become more active.The thinking part of the brain increased.
It used to be legal and it grew wild all over the united states,Until the government decided to ban it in 1930"s.It was natures antibiotic.It helped keep land errosion under control.Forrest fires didnt exist like they do today,because it couldnt burn.(When they burn large amounts of marijuana seized from dealers,they have to pour large amounts of fuel to make it burn).It was used to make clothing,ropes,and fuel.
Could you imagine all the homes,land,animals,firefighter... that could be saved if marijuana were allowed to grow once again?
