I am trying to start up my own spa party business. I have been told I can not have a manicurist with me only massage therapists. Well I have always done paraffin dips. Can I do this legally as a massage therapist? Or is that something only a certified manicurist do?

California doesn't have a state wide ruling on that. You would have to check with the town or city that you would be doing them in. Each town has their own guidlines and rules. You could start with city hall and they could direct you to who you needed to talk to.
